DRILLING SHOCKER: Finland Uncovers EARTH-SHAKING Treasure Beneath Triple Rock Layers!

According to the New York Post, a series of deep drilling operations in Ukkolanvaara, Finland, have uncovered an enormous gold mineralization zone, sending the global mineral investment community into a frenzy over the possibility of a new gold rush.

According to exploration and mining company Endomines, this significant discovery came from bedrock samples collected in February in the Ukkolanvaara area, along the Karelian Gold Line – a region considered rich in mineral potential.

The first drill hole, named UKKO-001, penetrated ancient rock layers and simultaneously discovered three thick, high-grade gold zones. This is a rare occurrence in global gold exploration.

Three Gold Zones in One Drill Hole: Unprecedented

Kari Vyhtinen, CEO of Endomines, stated, “We didn’t just find one, but three rich gold mineralization zones in the same UKKO-001 drill hole. This result far exceeds all predictions and demonstrates Ukko’s enormous gold potential.” Notably, analysis of the samples showed that some sections of the rock reached nearly 10 grams of gold per ton, a grade that experts believe could completely change the outlook for gold mining in the Karelian Gold Line area. This region has long been considered a “potential gold belt” in Northern Europe.

After announcing the initial results, Endomines has drilled a total of 17 holes with a combined length of over 4,600 meters, receiving analysis results for nine of the drill holes.

Crucially, many drill holes after UKKO-001 continued to yield excellent results, demonstrating that the gold mineralization extends horizontally for at least 400 meters and to a depth of at least 150 meters.

“Visible gold has been observed in the drill core in 8 of the 17 holes, which indicates that Ukko could be a large-scale mineral system, closely linked to the existing iron ore deposit in the Ukkolanvaara area,” Vyhtinen emphasized.

Indefinite Extension of Exploration Campaign

Initially, Endomines only planned to survey Ukko for a few weeks. However, the unexpected results from the drill holes led the company to change its strategy: extending the drilling campaign, collecting sediment samples, conducting geophysical surveys, and geological mapping along the entire Karelian Gold Line in 2025.

“We are confident that Ukko will become a significant highlight in Endomines’ long-term plan and has the full potential to be a major, globally impactful gold discovery,” Vyhtinen affirmed.

Geological experts indicate that the gold is concentrated in folded Banded Iron Formations (BIF), where magnetite has been replaced by pyrrhotite – a characteristic geological structure of giant gold deposits worldwide.

Alteration zones around the gold show the presence of chlorite, carbonate, green mica, and iron sulfides, creating a favorable environment for the formation of large ore bodies.

Endomines stated that all drilling, sampling, preparation, and analysis procedures strictly adhered to QA/QC protocols, meeting international JORC standards. Gold samples above 10 g/t were also re-analyzed to ensure accuracy.

Jani Rautio, a geological expert who audited the entire drilling program, confirmed that the results are of high professional quality and sufficiently reliable for use in future mineral resource calculations.
