The animal can be seen rolling on the hard tarmac as the trailer it had been transported in speeds away.

The driver seemed not to notice his lost livestock.

Video shows the bull bouncing as he hits the road in what looks like a painful landing for the beast.

He quickly regains his footing, and seems calm at first, wandering confused along the road.

But moments later the bull starts an aggressive, panicked rampage.

Locals can be seen cowering in their doorways as the beast ran up and down the street in a fit of rage.

The animal knocks over a parked motorbike.

He then rammed a stationary car in a terrifying display of power.

The bull had been travelling in a livestock cage attached to a pick-up truck when it was sent crashing to the road.

No injuries were reported to residents or the bull and the animal was eventually recaptured.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

It comes after a tiger on the loose sparked terror in Germany after it mauled a 73-year-old man before being hunted down and shot dead by armed police.

The predator broke free from its enclosure at a controversial private facility near Leipzig, releasing chaos as it rampaged towards nearby allotment gardens.

The big cat attacked one of its handler’s helpers at around 1pm on Sunday, leaving the elderly man seriously injured.

He had been inside the enclosure when the animal turned on him before making a dramatic escape.

The victim, described as a volunteer authorised to be on site, was rushed to hospital and admitted for treatment.

Moments later, the tiger fled the industrial park and sprinted about 300 meters towards a garden complex, triggering a major emergency response.

Dozens of armed officers flooded the area as the deadly animal roamed dangerously close to the public.

Police tracked the tiger to the fenced garden site, where it was finally gunned down.
