Armed with a stick, the guest attempts to coax the reptile from its watery hiding place.
Moments later, the cobra suddenly emerges – staring directly at the cameraman as it flicks its forked tongue.
Further footage shows the 4ft-long snake tangled around the basin plumbing after climbing out of the toilet.
The harrowing incident took place at a resort in Salvador Benedicto in the Philippines.

A group of five friends were staying at the hotel when one of them went to use the bathroom.
The guest noticed a dark object inside the toilet bowl and assumed he had forgotten to flush.
After flushing a second time, the snake’s head suddenly emerged from around the u-bend.
Hotel guest Dranreb Teodoso said the group did not believe their friend at first and rushed to inspect the bathroom themselves.
Dranreb grabbed a long stick and carefully prodded the coiled reptile to check whether it was alive.
Realising the threat was real, the group alerted hotel staff, who promptly dealt with the venomous creature.
At first, Dranreb believed the snake was a harmless water snake.
However, after sharing footage in a group chat of reptile enthusiasts, he discovered the creature was actually a King Cobra.
Local authorities said it was not the first reported King Cobra sighting in Salvador Benedicto.
Superintendent Gina Gerangaya said it was possible somebody had been illegally breeding King Cobras and one had escaped.
Officials also suggested the snake may have been searching for a cool place to hide amid the extreme heat.
The municipal government has since launched an investigation into the incident.
Authorities reminded residents and tourists that wildlife forms part of the area’s ecosystem within a protected forest zone.
Salvador Benedicto lies within the Northern Negros Natural Park, where sightings of reptiles are considered a “natural occurrence”.
A statement said: “Our greatest asset has always been our natural beauty – lush forests, cool climate, and a harmonious coexistence with nature.”
This is not the first time a holidaymaker has come face-to-face with a terrifying creature in the bathroom.
Earlier this month, a tourist captured the chilling moment an Amazonian giant centipede tried to crawl out of a toilet bowl.
Shaky footage shows the man forcing the creepy critter out of the lavatory as it desperately attempts to escape.
The Amazonian giant centipede can grow to more than 11 inches long and is infamous for its painful bite.
While its venom is not usually fatal to humans, the creature is still considered one of the world’s most fearsome centipedes.
