Recently, archaeologists have made a peculiar discovery in Jesus’ tomb in Jerusalem. Research results reveal that Jesus had a wife and a son named Judah.

According to the latest news in the Daily Mail, Arye Shimron, an Israeli geologist, has confirmed the existence of Jesus’ son in a tomb in Jerusalem.
After conducting research there, Dr. Arye Shimron stated that he combined his research on the James Ossuary – a 2,000-year-old limestone box containing the remains of Jesus’ brother – which has long been controversial around the Jesus family tomb in the nearby East Talpiot area of the city. This research reveals important information suggesting that Jesus was married and had a child, and this proves that physical resurrection (coming back to life) could not have happened. According to Dr. Shimron, “God’s son, Judah” and Jesus’ wife, Mary, were buried with seven others in this tomb.
Dr. Shimron’s discovery once again sparks controversy over the Talpiot Tomb, which was discovered in 1980. The remains inside one small ossuary bear the inscription: “Jesus, son of Joseph.” Other names include Maria, Joseph, Mary, Yose, Matthew, and most controversially, the inscription “Judah, son of Jesus.”
Joseph, Mary, and Jesus are names frequently mentioned in studies of tombs with traces of Jesus’ family, while the name Judah is very rare. Other experts and archaeologists have dismissed the idea that the Jerusalem tomb fully contains Jesus’ family members. Recently, Dr. Shimron studied the James Ossuary. He performed about 150 chemical tests on samples taken from 25 different ossuaries – 15 of which were test samples from other related tombs – and the results showed that traces of magnesium, iron, and silicon from the James Ossuary perfectly match the chemistry of the Talpiot Tomb.
The Talpiot ossuaries were covered by a thick layer of ‘Rendzina’ soil, which is characteristic of the hill located in East Jerusalem where these ossuaries were found with strange chemical properties. The New York Times quoted Dr. Shimron as saying, “I confirm with certainty that the James Ossuary belonged to the Talpiot Tomb for a very long time.”

The remains found in the ossuaries could suggest that there was no bodily resurrection – a traditional Christian belief, while others believe in it as a sacred event. The Talpiot Tomb is now protected under a concrete slab, while the found ossuaries are preserved by the Israel Antiquities Authority.
