Reality TV star Samie Elishi was unceremoniously escorted off the Love Island set by security after being banned from watching the final—turning what should have been a glamorous night supporting her boyfriend into an abrupt and unexplained rejection.
The 26-year-old, who first rose to fame on series nine of the ITV show, had flown out to Majorca specifically to watch her partner Tyrique Hyde appear on the last episode of Aftersun. She spent hours getting ready for what she called a “special day,” only to be refused entry into the villa and removed from the premises.
In a TikTok video posted after the incident, Samie filmed behind the cameras and production crew as she approached the set. She managed to capture brief footage of host Maya Jama and Tyrique preparing to film before everything “took a turn for the worst.”
“We got told that we weren’t actually allowed to watch the show,” Samie revealed. “Before everyone in the comments starts asking why, we don’t know why—we had no explanation. The three of us [Samie, Harry Cooksley and Kane Ruddach] did actually have seats in the audience but they just got taken away. Escorted back to the holding villa.”
Undeterred, she improvised. “God knows how I managed it but I got the show up on my phone, found a place with actually good signal and watched from my phone on a tripod.” She added that while the evening “wasn’t quite” what they had expected, “Ty did amazing as always.”
Samie was not alone in the ban. She was barred alongside the partners of the other panelists, Shakira Khan and Joe Baggs.
The couple’s relationship began in March, just weeks after Samie returned from Love Island All Stars in South Africa. They were first publicly spotted together at a Baller League match, though reports indicated they had already been on several dates beforehand. Since going Instagram official, the pair have been almost inseparable, sharing multiple holidays and remaining closely linked.
Samie has been a vocal supporter of Tyrique’s career, openly cheering his Aftersun appearances and his daily Love Island-themed streams. That loyalty made the sudden exclusion from the live finale particularly striking—leaving her to experience the show from a phone screen rather than from the audience seats she believed she had been allocated.
The lack of any official explanation has only fuelled speculation among fans, turning what was meant to be a celebratory night into one of the more awkward off-screen moments of the series.
