In harrowing CCTV footage, the woman can be seen struggling to keep her footing as she tries to escape the animals.

The woman sheepishly emerged from under the truck
She slips and slides on the icy ground before falling over, as the pack quickly closes in.
The dogs surround her and begin biting as she desperately tries to fend them off.
Outnumbered, she eventually rolls underneath a parked truck in a desperate attempt to protect herself.
Moments later, a bystander notices the commotion and rushes over to help.
Shouting loudly, the man startles the animals and the pack quickly disperses.
Once the danger has passed, the shaken woman cautiously emerges from beneath the vehicle where she had taken cover.
According to reports, she had just finished her shift at a hotel when the dogs attacked.
The man who intervened is believed to have been a hotel guest who stepped in to rescue her.
The incident was filmed outside the Cholbon Hostel in eastern Russia.
One of the dogs managed to bite the woman badly during the attack.
She was taken to hospital for treatment and given a rabies shot as a precaution.
Prior to the incident, the hotel had reportedly warned guests about the risk posed by wild dogs in the area.
Russia’s Investigative Committee has since launched a probe into the attack.
Stray dogs have been a long-running issue in many Russian regions.
Under federal law, animals are typically captured, sterilised, vaccinated and then released.
However, critics say this policy does not always solve the problem.
In 2024, the government allowed regions to set their own rules for managing stray animals.
This prompted some areas to adopt tougher measures, including euthanasia.
